Publication standards
IRJGES is committed to fair editorial practice, responsible peer review, research integrity and transparent scholarly communication. Editorial decisions are based on the relevance, originality, methodological soundness, clarity and contribution of the submitted work.
Responsibilities of authors
- Submit original work that has not been published elsewhere and is not under simultaneous consideration by another journal.
- Present methods, results and references accurately and transparently.
- Identify all contributors who meet authorship criteria and obtain the agreement of all listed authors.
- Disclose relevant conflicts of interest, funding and other information required for an informed editorial assessment.
- Respond appropriately to reviewer and editor comments and correct significant errors when identified.
Responsibilities of reviewers
- Evaluate manuscripts objectively, confidentially and within their field of competence.
- Provide constructive comments that help editors make informed decisions and authors improve their work.
- Identify relevant published work that may not have been appropriately acknowledged.
- Declare conflicts of interest and decline a review when impartial assessment is not possible.
Responsibilities of editors
- Apply journal policies consistently and make decisions without discrimination.
- Protect the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and reviewer information.
- Manage conflicts of interest and seek appropriate peer review.
- Take reasonable action when credible concerns about published or submitted work are raised.
Review and publication timeline
Manuscripts undergo editorial screening and peer review. Review and publication timelines vary depending on the manuscript, reviewer availability and the revisions required.
Accepted articles are published within 4–6 weeks of submission.
